Aid Stations
Aid Stations:
There will be four well-stocked aid stations along the route (you will hit each one twice, so it’s like having 8 of them) to help make your journey successful and comfortable. You will find sports drinks, water salt, gel, and hopefully some fruit. We will NOT have painkillers or other medication. If you have requests or suggestions for the aid stations, please email us at goblinvalleyultra@gmail.com.
To help prevent litter, we ask that if you leave the station with paper cups, you carry them to the next station and deposit them in the available trashcans.
We will try our best to have a sufficient number of water/aid stations for everyone, however this is a very remote area so it is difficult to get them to all the places we would like. While not required, We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you carry your own hydration.
Drop Bags:
You must have your drop bags at the start line by 7:15 a.m. Bags must be marked with your name and bib number. We recommend leaving your drop bags at the starting line where they will be collected after the race begins. You are welcome to leave a drop bag at any station, just be aware that it may not make it back to the finish line as quickly as you do. We cannot be responsible for items not properly labeled or dropped.
Dropping Out:
We will do everything we can to make this a fun, safe and successful experience for you, but if for any reason you should decide to drop out, please be sure to notify the race staff at the start/finish or one of the Sheriff’s deputies on the sweep. Failure to do so may result in search and rescue looking for you unnecessarily. You may request a ride back to the pavilion from any Sheriff’s deputy or sweep staff.
